At TRP our engineers are never satisfied with the status quo. While lightweight caliper brakes have grown in popularity, we saw that the reduction in weight by other manufacturers came at a price, a price that compromised safety. We set out to develop a lightweight brake that did not sacrifice anything in the way of safety, control or convenience. Introducing the TRP R960. The R960 brake arms are precisely machined both horizontally and vertically to eliminate excess weight and to maximize strength and stiffness. The Inplace adjust pad holders are similarly machined and hold SwissStop pads, for excellent stopping power in wet or dry conditions, while an innovative sliding quick release adds a level of convenience not generally found in lightweight calipers. The brakes are assembled with titanium hardware resulting in a high performance dual pivot brake that weighs in at only 120 grams per caliper.
