Our R920 ultralight road brake is the result of a decade of design, manufacturing and materials evolution. Certainly, this brake is extremely light at 256g per pair – lighter in fact than both the new Dura-Ace BR-7800 and the Campagnolo Record Carbon Skeleton brakes – but as with all things TRP, light weight was not addressed at the expense of performance, adjustability or features. Most ultralight brakes on the market are an antiquated singlepivot compromise which offer light weight but mediocre performance. Not so with the R920; at the heart of this brake’s crisp feel and true one-finger braking is our proven dual-pivot design, enhanced by the use of a proprietary TT6 alloy in the caliper arm forgings. A Teflon pivot bushing ensures perfectly smooth action while titanium and light-alloy hardware complete the assembly. As for details you might not expect to find on a brake this light, how about a fully-functional quick-release, adjustable spring tension, and adjustable-angle Kool-Stop pads.
