Disks are great, but for reliable, ultralight performance, hardcore riders and XC pros like UCI World Cup Champion Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå know that rim brakes are hard to beat. Our new M920 linear-pull mountain brake defines ultralight at 154 grams per wheel, nearly HALF as light as the lightest disk setup known to man, and lighter than both the Avid Ultimate and the Avid Single Digit SL brakes. Of course, when speeding down the hill you just hammered up, light weight itself is of little value. To ensure the M920s are equally as impressive in the performance department, we built the brake arms out of a new proprietary TT6 alloy using a special forging technique that preserves the grain alignment of the material throughout the process and allows us to make a very strong, very stiff part much lighter. The result of our efforts is true one-finger braking, performance you’d expect from TRP at a weight you’d thought was impossible – until now.
